Quantitative Magnetooptics

Quantitative magnetooptics is performed by longitudinal Kerr effect.
The signal is aquired by a photodiode allowing to detect the hysteresis response of the material.
Among the possible fine-tunings available, a beam expander can be applied to the laser source, while for enhancements of the signal it is possible to use a photoelastic modulator with the aquisition of the signal by a lock-in amplifier.
